We Don’t Waste Water
Since Fullerton is prone to droughts, Avignon has drought-tolerant landscaping, which means we use plants that don’t require much water, such as succulents and other native plants. Additionally, we have installed a drip irrigation system, reducing the amount of water needed to care for our beautiful landscaping.
Indoors, we save on water with our plumbing system. Most toilets use about 3.5 gallons of water every time they flush, but not ours! We have low-flow toilets , which use about 20 percent less water than regular toilets. Each low-flow toilet can surprisingly save up to 13,000 gallons of water per year.
We Avoid Unnecessary Paper and Plastic
At Avignon, we save on paper by doing everything—rent payments, service requests, applications, and notices—online. This eliminates the need for unnecessary paper waste. Plus, it is more convenient for residents. In addition to this, we have a water bottle refill station on the property, significantly reducing the waste from plastic water bottles.

We Encourage Residents to Recycle
A great way to go green is by recycling . We have recycling bins in our office, and we encourage all residents to recycle as well. Things that can be recycled are empty cans, clean plastic bottles and containers, paper, and cardboard. Please be careful not to recycle liquid, food, plastic wrap, plastic bags, or cups with plastic or wax coating.
In Fullerton, you can recycle at West Coast Recycling Center . By making the extra effort to recycle, you will be doing your part to take care of our environment.

Organic waste recycling will be coming soon to our local community, and we can’t wait to participate! This initiative will help keep millions of pounds of food waste out of landfills and turn them into compost and renewable natural gas.
